First two tournaments in the books!

Well, we have completed our first two tournaments.....sortof. The first one was a couple of weekends ago in Cookeville. We played two games on Saturday and won them both putting us in first seed for Sunday play-offs.

Look how nice and clean the uniforms are!!!

Austin pitching.

Sunday it came a downpour! While most of us huddled under Papa Tom's tent or under umbrellas, the boys braved the weather and played their hearts out. The games were close and we won the first two waiting patiently for the rain to pass so we could move on to the final game. The rain never passed and they called the tournament off. But since we were first seed and had the best record, we were named the champs.

Not sure how I will ever get these pants white again.

Then came tournament #2 - the Clash for Cash played in Music City. I believe the tournament has been cancelled for the past several years due to rain and this year was no exception. We played Friday night and the boys pulled it though it was a close one...we won in the 7th inning 6-5. Then Saturday was gorgeous and though the boys didn't play their best baseball....they still won. But since we gave up so many runs Friday night, we seeded second.

Then the rains came Saturday night saturating everything....the fields were too muddy to play on Sunday and there was the threat of all day rain....so once again the Clash for Cash was called off. Unfortunately they awarded the teams according to their seeding, which put us in second place next to the AL Knights.....I think we could have beat them! Still...our record is 10-0. We have an awesome start to the season.
